Associate Lawyer
Calvin Li is an associate lawyer at Vayeghan Litigation, where he practices in both family law and criminal defence. His dual focus allows him to provide comprehensive and strategic representation to clients navigating the complex intersection of family and criminal proceedings — an area where sensitivity, precision, and tactical foresight are essential.
Before joining Vayeghan Litigation, Calvin gained valuable experience at respected law firms in Vancouver, where he represented clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, parenting disputes, child and spousal support, and property division. He also assisted in criminal and regulatory cases, appearing before both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia.
Calvin earned his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, following a Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience from UBC. During law school, he served as Clinic Head of the UBC Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) — a highly regarded community organization providing free legal services to low-income individuals across the Lower Mainland.
Known for his balanced and client-centered approach, Calvin combines empathy with a strong command of the law to deliver practical, thoughtful solutions. Outside of his legal practice, Calvin teaches Muay Thai and enjoys cooking. Calvin is conversant in Mandarin and Cantonese.
