Harleen Kandola
Associate Lawyer
Harleen Kandola is an associate lawyer at Vayeghan Litigation, where she practices in family law and criminal defence. Her background in both areas enables her to provide holistic and effective advocacy for clients whose legal challenges span the intersection of family and criminal proceedings — an increasingly common and complex space requiring skill, empathy, and sound judgment.
Before joining Vayeghan Litigation, Harleen worked at a Vancouver-based family-law firm, where she represented clients in matters involving divorce, parenting disputes, support claims, and property division. She has since appeared regularly before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia and drafted a wide range of pleadings and agreements.
Harleen obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, following her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Law and Society from the University of British Columbia. During law school, she gained hands-on experience through her work with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and Student Legal Services, where she represented low-income individuals in family and criminal matters and developed a deep commitment to access to justice.
Fluent in English and Punjabi, Harleen is known for her compassionate, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach. Harleen is dedicated to uplifting her community both through her legal practice and her involvement beyond it
